Searching for Country brings together the unveiling of Eora, an artwork by Australian designer and artist Jake Nash, a descendant of the Daly River people . An evening of reflection on the presence of Country within the city.

Developed through deep cultural knowledge and an ongoing dialogue with place, Eora introduces a resonant new element within the heart of fjcstudio, a symbolic gesture of unity. Inviting consideration of the stories, histories and continuities carried by Country.

As part of the event, Jake Nash will speak about the cultural foundations of Eora and the ideas shaping his recent work. His presentation will explore how art and architecture can reveal the layers of Country embedded within the urban environment, and how creative practice can contribute to deeper understanding and connection.
