A conversation with Dr Ses Salmond, CEO of Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre, drawing on her extensive experience in human health, community led practice, and advocacy. Together with Richard Francis-Jones, she explores how architecture and design can challenge gendered structures, inequities, and exclusions that are deeply embedded in our built environment.

The discussion considers how feminist design approaches can support women’s wellbeing, safety, and agency, and how architecture can help create culturally safe, healing environments that support women experiencing domestic and family violence.
